About this Class

This two-part lecture will provide an overview of RNA-Seq technology, its various application and shortcomings, as well as detailing the steps involved in analyzing the resulting data. Part I This section will introduce the general principles underlying RNA-SEQ and the basic steps in experimental design, RNA sample preparation, sequencing technologies (their strengths and weaknesses), quality control, sequence mapping and alignment.
